Want To Participate In Society Premier League

Foreign Players Policy

A foreign player refers to an individual who doesn’t reside within the participating society or isn’t part of the participating society’s team. However, they can still participate in SPL through an auction process.

The objective behind this policy is to ensure competitive balance among participating teams and provide a fair opportunity to more cricket players to participate in SPL.

Society based team

Participating team in the SPL will be society-based. Max 2 foreign players will be allowed in the playing 11.

Player for auction

A player must register with the SPL organizing committee to be eligible for team selection via auction process.

Team budget

Total 20,000 points will be allocated to each team for auction. These are not actual money at this stage.

Base price/point

Base price/point of a player varies between 4,000 to 10,000 to be set by players during registration.

Players profile

Cricketing credentials of registered players will be shared with stakeholders prior to the auction.

Selection policy

Selection guarantees a spot in the 15-player team members but does not assure a position in the playing 11.

Commitment

Player once selected through auction should be available for all matches and practice scheduled for/by the team.

Emergency withdrawal

Player to notify team & organizing committee for emergency; failure may lead to exclusion from future SPLs.

Unsold players

Players will move to reserve category if unsold in auction & may get call to replace  emergency withdrawal.
